Assembly fitters – Dorking – 2 x Fixed Term Contracts

We are looking to recruit assembly fitters who will be responsible for contributing to the productive output of the assembly line to ensure that production and quality standards are maintained.

Main duties include assembly of all sub and main assemblies in line with the defined process, following assembly drawings and process sheets.

Applicants will be required to operate within the constraints of the Risk Assessments in place and to work to high levels of health and safety.

Shot blaster/preper – Dorking – 1 x Fixed Term Contract

The position requires the successful candidate to refinish all major assemblies, sub-assemblies and other items as required in a safe and timely manner.  Maximize utilisation of spray booths by minimalizing the spray times.  Also required to mark out and mask of bodies, cabs and panels.  Preparing all components in line with your training and following strict process sheets to meet the production plan, including shot blasting, filling, sealing and cleaning to an acceptable finish prior to painting.

MIG Welders – Dorking – Permanent

We currently have opportunities for experienced Welders within our Welding and Fabrication department based in Dorking.

Applicants should be skilled and competent in both mild and stainless steel.

The candidate will be working a shift pattern of 0545 -1345/1415-2215 alternating on a weekly basis.  Applicants must be prepared to carry out a Weld test at interview.

Senior Store Keeper – Dorking – Fixed Term Contract

The Senior Storekeeper will have responsibility for an area of inventory which involves booking in deliveries, kit sub-contracting, CI counts, clearing old orders, chasing shortages and creating KPI’s.

You will need to carry out inventory transactions (using SAP), ensuring that the records held on the system are accurate at all times.  Receiving, check and raising Goods Received Notes (GRN’s) for all goods and unloading of delivery vehicles where required using our counterbalance fork lift truck.

A strong communicator and able to work well under pressure.

Store Keepers – Dorking – Fixed Term Contract

We are looking for Storekeepers to join our busy team who support our Main Build and Unit 9 Assembly Departments with picking and packing and putting away duties.  The purpose of the role is also to ensure that the company’s inventory records are kept up-to-date with all movements of inventory, internal and external.  Ensure that the area of goods in and warehouse are kept clean and tidy and to adhere to health and safety requirements.

A strong team player who will assist the team in unloading deliveries, progress chasing of parts, movement of stock and carry out inventory transactions as required.

Manufacturing Engineer – Dorking – Permanent

The engineers will be responsible for providing assembly process documents, best assembly methods, facility layout and offer full support to production to achieve target dates.

You will need to assess engineering drawings and bills of materials against assembly sequence in production and request Engineering improvements.

Also required to solve technical problems arising from mechanical assembly, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrics paint and test processes working closely with the engineering team to eliminate future problems.

The successful candidate will have an understanding and be able to design production flow lines and be able to interpret and understand engineering drawings.

Excellent time management skills, able to work in a team and seek out support when required with the ability to work under pressure.

Electrical Engineer – Dorking – Permanent

Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager you will be involved in all matters in the electrical engineering design and development of the Bucher Municipal and Johnston Sweepers range.

The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of automotive electrical engineering together with the ability to design automotive electrical circuit diagrams, preferably using E3 CAD software.  An understanding of CAN-based control systems is also essential for the role.

You will assist in the prototyping of new components and assemblies and evaluate and test them under representative conditions.

An ability to work within a multi-disciplined team and excellent communication skills are also essential criteria.

Mobile Service Technician – 1 x Dorking – Permanent

Our Customer Service Depot (based in Dorking) is looking to recruit conscientious, reliable and customer orientated technicians to offer the best possible level of Service support within their region. Also able to look at cost effective technical solutions and repairs, wherever possible at the customer’s convenience.

You will ideally have a time served apprenticeship in motor vehicle technology with accredited technical qualifications. Previous experience in a fast moving motor industry workshop is desirable with preference to commercial/municipal or plant machinery.

A motivated team player who is also able to work under their own supervision with a flexible, ‘can do’ attitude to the role.

Ideally the successful candidate will be based in the South East area.

Service Centre Based Technician –1 x Bristol – Permanent

Our Customer Service Centre (based in Bristol) is looking for Workshop Based Technician to undertake repairs and service on vehicles in our depots.  This is not a mobile role and therefore we will be looking for someone who will work closely with the Service Centre Manager and Controller to provide regular updates on the status of repairs to allow close customer contact.

You will be required to complete all types of service and repairs in the most efficient manner without compromising quality, to the highest standards, including following diagnosis paths.

You will have worked in a fast moving motor industry workshop, be motivated and able to work under your own supervision.
